The record-breaking film Hello, Love, Again, made over $40 million NZD at the global box office as of December 1, including over $200,000 at New Zealand cinemas.

The sequel to the hit film ‘Hello, Love, Goodbye’ has become the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time and the first Filipino film to earn over 1 billion pesos at the global box office.

Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards, lead stars of the film, thanked international fans for the outstanding response to the film.

“Thank you for coming home with us through Hello, Love, Again. You inspire us to tell more stories of strength, love, and hope,” Kathryn says.

Alden said, “Thank you for welcoming Joy and Ethan into your home again wherever you are in the world.”

Filipino-Kiwi Filmgoer Sheila Mariano, who watched Hello, Love, Again in the opening week, says “I cried so much during the film. It was sad but in a different way to the first film.”

“This movie had so many more complex emotions and you really feel like you are living the movie.”

“It was definitely worth watching, but make sure you bring tissues,” she says.

The movie broke records globally, including in the Middle East. The film earned almost $2.5 million NZD in UAE, KSA and Qatar, largely due to the number of OFWs working in the region.
